I'm pretty sure there's only 2 guitar tracks there (one panned left, one right), and no multitracking, yet the guitars sound very full. I mostly produce electronic, trip hop, and hip hop / jazz hop that can border on trap - I find these four tunes, or virtually anything from each of the records they are from ('Discovery', '2001', 'Demon Days', and 'Untitled. I do understand there are mastering differences, but I'm aware of them and I'm trying to compensate in my process.

As I fully intend to press on vinyl, that's the way I chose to go. I have the vinyl for all of the above and have made my own rips. I suppose I shouldn't take too much amusement in her ranting-I mean, I kind of get it, I hate some songs too ('I Gotta Feeling' is one that grates on me, I admit). I guess she was having a bad day and really felt compelled to let all her anger at the world out on one of her least favorite songs, 'Call Me Maybe'. I was really curious to hear from the person I replied to. Haha, I didn't care to know the name of that song, but thanks for setting the record straight. I might be biased as a female producer / rapper / singer who worships people like Janelle Monae and Stevie Nicks, but whoever that bitch is represents everything wrong with music to me.

Is the production good? I wouldn't dare download it to tell, when there are literally dozens of better, recent examples in the same bullshit genre minus the hyper-fakeness that tune shits out. So repetitive, the immediately repulsive Гјber-fake and hyper-processed vocal delivery makes me think a pop genius like Bowie must be spinning in his grave. 'Call Me Maybe' is, objectively one of the worst songs of the last ten years to me. That's not even just tolerable, but enjoyable. I have guilty pleasures, I'll happily rock out the Black Eyed Peas' 'Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night', for example.ДЄs a piece of music alone, even instrumentally, it evokes far more feeling, far more substance, and plainly, far more fun than 'Call Me Maybe' if you're looking within that pure club pop top-10's kinda sound. It's the type of meaningless, empty cash-in that drives me to saturate the market with something, anything, better.ДЄnd I am really not trying to sound like 'that hipster girl' who's too cool for pop. It honestly represents everything that's wrong with music to me, especially as a Woman in music. It would at least have to have the vocals removed.

Even producing this bottom-of-the-barrel fake-as-shit manufactured pop stuff, I could honestly, really never approach seriously trying to listen to this track as a reference. I think maybe there is a degree of cringe / absolute shite in terms of music that causes my immensely trained ears to not even be able to notice.
